About Hope & Happiness Program:
Hope & Happiness is a 24 Days ( 8 Weeks) curriculum that is based on real-time activities, games, role-play, research work, and various components that help children develop their understanding of hope and happiness. In the 24 Days initiative, we are trying to fear a free environment for children, where they can get the opportunity to explore the concept of self-awareness, empathy, dream life through various activities. Further, mindfulness improves decision making, leads to greater emotional stability, abstract planning, and less reactivity. All children are born and raised in different situations. The environment in which children grow up today is inconsistent, unstable, and constantly changing. We created a 24 Days (8 weeks) Hope and Happiness curriculum.

Background of Initiative:
We all know that People in Assam are faced unimaginable difficulties because of the floods that were came at a time of the coronavirus crisis, Over 70 lakh people had affected in 28 districts of Assam. Due to the floods and Covid-19, almost all schools are closed, students are unable to continue their teaching-learning process in the critical situation through virtual mode. These kinds of situations are made students hopeless and many children grow up in difficult circumstances with little nourishment for the body and the mind, some not even having seen a book or a toy until they go to school. In these cases, there is either overstimulation or a deficit in these areas with our students leading to a psychological crisis that is spinning out of control.
The recent flood situation in interior parts of Assam, coupled with COVID 19 has created a deficit of learning, joy, and interaction amongst children living in those regions.
With #Reach2Teach by our Hope & Happiness Initiative, we have created a 2 monthly curriculum that includes real-time activities, games, role-play, research work, and various other components. Our vision with this initiative is to help children encounter stress and enable them to be hopeful for a brighter future that can break their cycle of disadvantage and poverty.

About our previous work:

SAFL India Foundation initiated the Antyodaya India-Initiative to support highly floods affected areas. In 2 months we served 500+ families in the Barpeta district through our direct & indirect support, but we are trying to support children to develop their mindset towards their dream journey. We started the Hope & Happiness Initiative for floods affected kids.
