34-year old Samit is fighting for his life at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune. He is advised to be on ECMO therapy for 2-3 weeks, the treatment costs INR 70,000/ day and there are additional charges for medicines and disposables. He comes from a modest background and runs a small snacks shop in Pune city, and his family has already exhausted all their savings for his treatment.
